Purge the Drowned City of the Damned

Following the events of C9: Thyrella’s Trident, the sunken city of Thalasson remains a festering wound of necromancy. While the goddess Thyrella once washed the city away in a wave of divine vengeance, the infernal power of Psithyrostomaxenos has raised its citizens as twisted, water-logged undead. Now, heroes must descend into the ruins to break the power of the Drowned King’s Archons and reclaim the city for the living.

The Fallen Archons

The city is ruled by the Five Archons, powerful undead who represent the corrupted remains of Thalasson’s former leadership. To purge the city, you must hunt down:

  • Androbasileus, the Tyrant of Bronze: A legendary warrior who once tried to conquer the city, now bound in death to protect it with a spear of flame.
  • Dromarchos, the Charioteer: A champion athlete who races across the ruined hippodrome with fiendish steeds that breathe fire.
  • Chrysargyros Emporos, the Merchant: A soul-devouring businessman who still guards his  agora, trading in lies and eternal debts.
  • Kritarchos, the Judge: A corrupt legalist who dispenses “justice” via iron, lashes, and brandings from his drowned courtroom.
  • Poiētēs, the Poet: A singer whose venomous charm and razor-sharp verses chain the living in a rhyme of death.
  • Ergates, the Worker: A powerhouse who haunts the quarry, wielding a maul heavy enough to shatter bone and stone alike.

Key Features

  • The Philosophers’ Grove: Seek out the ghost of Alopexophos to free the souls of murdered philosophers from the torment of the Pyrobasan devil, Psychomastix.
  • Unique Undead: Encounter new horrors.
  • Legendary Loot: Recover items including the Spear of Stratokratos, Heraclitus’ Estin Pyr Kosmou, and Thales’ Hydromorphé.
  • Modular Design: Optimized for Levels 11-14, this adventure can be run as the tenth chapter of the Consortium series or as a standalone high-level crawl through a haunted aquatic metropolis.
